I read that Biden sent military to help Quash the fire. And also that they were flying 4K tourists away from Maui to Oahu early on if planes could approach. fire on the Big Island not so bad. Confined to . the Northern part of the island but yes, there was loss. No lives,tho, i don’t think. Maui suffered tremendous loss. I guess the selfish GOP, maga, nazi, racists all consider the here and now and not the future of the planet or it’s people. Or climate warming. They Seem to have a tRump Attitude. “Why should I care? I won’t be around”. 🤷🏽♀️
Global warming, Climate Change, has now killed almost 60 people in Maui! Thus is horrific news. I feel so bad for what those people are going through. Complete towns are destroyed completely, neighborhoods gone, thousands homeless, and no telling how many are still missing. With the devastation, plus the storm pushing the wildfires faster, there’s no end in sight to this thing, yet.
The MAGA GOP suck! The only plan is to dismantle everything Biden has done just as Trump dismantled everything Obama did except of course to get rid of Obamacare.
Of course, their budget is not going to pass considering every state is suffering from climate change related issues. But, still, every day Americans dealing with this reality see how the Right is absolutely out of touch with reality....just look at Ohio's win letting their legislators know, "NO, you will not take away my right to have my voice heard through my vote, and in November my voice will be heard on abortion rights that you are trying to take away".
This is so sad. We’ve known of the dangers of global warming for decades, but little has been done. The future looks like a hellscape. But as long as oil profits are up, I guess everything is ok.
I agree. Climate change is escalating exponentially, and it didn’t sneak up on us. The powers that be who’ve been bought off by billionaires who want to be gazilionaires have made life hell for the rest of us and even more hellish for our children and theirs, it’s heartbreaking to think about what their world will be like. There’s no turning back now.
