(I am a Catholic Christian, and Our Lord suffered the typical Roman Empire method of execution, and like the Holy Buddha before him, Our Lord identified himself with the capital criminal. I concentrate in my Catholicity on the Presence of Christ in the Sacrament of the Eucharist, His Whole Person, and His Resurrection. I know of the Roman-styled execution, but the focus is on Resurrection and the teaching of Love God with One's Whole mind and being and Love One's Neighbor As Oneself. I am ecumenical with Buddhism, the Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads, Islamic Mysticism, and Moses ben Maimon and the Rabbinical Fathers. An ecumenical spirituality is life-affirming, arts-loving; NOT MORBID.)
So, I really appreciate your confirming my suspicions, when I turned down the invitations of right-wingers to see their morbid films.

I haven't seen the movie, but I had a conversation with a conservative recently when she asked why anyone would discourage people from seeing it. I said if there's any hint of QAnon or PizzaGate conspiracies in it, nobody would take it seriously. The fact that this cult is so good at indoctrinating its followers and has such prominent people involved should scare the hell out of people. This is a Fascist movement taking in people who don't understand it to be so. It is anti-democratic and un-American but is being marketed to its followers as a kind of super-patriotism. They're following the Nazi playbook step by step and it's working.
